At least one author must pre-register for the symposium, and at least one author must attend the symposium to present the paper. Papers for which no
author is pre-registered will be pulled from the proceedings.
Both full papers and poster abstracts have the same requirements, with the exception of page limits.

ensuring the following:
The submission should be in PDF format viewable by Adobe Reader.
Paper size: US Letter - 8.5 x 11.0 inches. The A4 size may NOT be used. Be sure to check the final size of the PDF from within

Page limits, total, including figures, tables, references, and appendices:
For poster abstracts: 2 pages. No extra pages are allowed.

Total of 12 pages: $200 due.
Payment method TBD.
Steps for using PDF eXpress Plus to create/check and deliver the final submission file:
The PDF eXpress tool has several functions. It can (optionally) create an IEEE Xplore-compliant
PDF from a variety of formats (e.g. DOC and PS); check a PDF file for IEEE Xplore compatibility
(required); and submit the final PDF via IEEE to the publications chair (required) for inclusion in
the IISWC 2016 proceedings.
Create your manuscript following the above requirements.
Go to the following website and create an IEEE eXpress Plus Account: http://www.pdf-express.org/plus
The IEEE eXpress ID for IISWC 2016 is: 39020XP
Upload your source file(s) for conversion and/or checking:
Click "Create New Title"
Enter the text to identify the paper. This is typically the title of the paper, but doesn't have to be. Your choice.
(If you exceed the number of allowable conversions or checks you will likely need to use a different "title" in order
to continue to check or convert your submission.)
Click "Submit File for Checking or Converting". The selection is based on file type. If a pdf file is submitted it
will be checked, if it is a non-pdf file, e.g., *.doc, it will be converted to pdf. In both cases a/the new pdf file
is created with an embedded certification that the paper is Xplore-compliant.
Click Browse and navigate to file, and click "Upload File". You will receive both online and email confirmations of a
successful upload.
You will receive a second email after a conversion/check indicating if the conversion/check was successful. The PDF file
is accessible via your PDF eXpress account; in the list of titles, click on the 'title' of your paper and the PDF result
of the file conversion will be displayed.
Once you are satisfied with the PDF version of your paper, click on the "Approve for Collection" link. Ignoring the
suggested naming convention, rename your file: "<IISWC paper ID number>-<last name of first
author>-<original auto-generated paper name>"
Example: if the paper's IISWC ID number is 421, the paper's lead author is Charles Babbage, and the auto-generated
file name is "PID4380793.pdf", then the file's new name should be set to: "421-Babbage-PID4380793.pdf".
Carefully check your PDF. Make sure all your images are included properly. Check for stray markings from the conversion.
Double-check the margins and alignment. Please don't skip this step!
Reminder: Submit the final PDF through the IEEE eXpress Plus tool by August 17, 2016. You DO NOT need to email the PDF to anyone;
it will be collected from IEEE eXpress by the publications chair.
Copyright release. Before a submission can be included in the proceedings a copyright release must be created for the submission.
In the near future one or more of the authors will receive an email directly from the IEEE automated copyright release system, eCF.
Follow the directions given in that email. Note that a submission has to have a copyright release on file in order to be published
in the proceedings. Please finish the copyright release process by August 17, 2016.
No hardcopy of the release form should be sent to either IISWC or the IEEE unless otherwise requested.
