Nightlife
- Closest
o Jak’s Grill – only open until 11:00, but a great tap selection.
- U Village doesn’t have much, but it has two good spots:
o The RAM is a good spot, with late food and a bar open until 1:00 AM
o Starbucks! There are 3 in U village, but the main one is open until 2:00 AM!
o Duchess Tavern – a little behind U Village, but a UW dive bar tradition
- The Ave has quite a few bars that are open late. My favorites are:
o Big Time
o Finn MacCools
o Earl’s
- If you’re up for *real* nightlife (and an Uber ride), then Capitol Hill is the place for you. I recommend starting at:
o Cha Cha Lounge (very… Capitol Hilly)
o Braca
o Capitol Cider (TONS of craft ciders on tap)
Tourism &
Activities
- Nearby:
o Rent a canoe at the UW Aquatic Center and paddle through the Arboritum
o Rent a kayak at Agua Verde and paddle around Lake Union
o Rent an electric boat at the Electric Boat Company and “drive” around Lake Union
o Burke Art Museum
- Further afield
o Visit the Ballard Locks to see ships coming/going, and salmon starting their upstream spawning run
o Visit Pike Place Market and see the original Starbucks
o Space Needle
o Museum of Pop Culture (formerly Experience Music Project)
